Amplience credits

Amplience credits make it easy for you to use Workforce and try our AI services, without having to set up your own account with OpenAI or other providers.

If you're interested in using Workforce Flows, it's available as an additional feature. To have it enabled on your account, please contact your Account Manager.

Topping up your credits

Currently an organization is allocated a bundle of Amplience credits per year for free.

If you use all of your allocated Amplience credits and try to access or continue to use a feature that requires them:

• AI services (such as the Generative Rich Text editor) will display a notification letting you know that you can add more credits to continue using the feature. Once the credits are added to your account, you can continue to make use of our AI services.

• Workforce Flows will continue to run even if your credits are exhausted, so your business processes aren’t interrupted. However, you won’t receive a notification within Flows when credits run out. Learn more about Flows and your credits balance.

When you decide to adopt one or more Amplience AI features into your workflow, then you can choose an Amplience credits plan to meet your needs.

Here are answers to common questions about Amplience credits.

When are Amplience credits used?

Credits are consumed when you use the AI-powered features in:

• Workforce - for example, running flows or generating content from templates
• Amplience AI services - for example, using the Generative Rich Text extension within Dynamic Content, or running the alt text generation service
• Image Studio - for example, removing image backgrounds

Credit usage is calculated depending on the feature you are using and what you are doing.

How does Workforce use credits?

Credits are used each time you run a Workforce Flow or generate content with Workforce templates. To learn more, see Workforce credits.

How do AI services use credits?

Using our AI extensions, or removing the background from an image will all use one credit.

If you run out of credits when using AI-powered extensions, such as the Generative rich text editor, you'll still be able to use the functionality of the extension, you just won't be able to use the AI features.

When using the background removal API, an error will be returned if you have no credits remaining.

How does Image Studio use credits?

Credits are used each time you use AI-powered features to process an image in Image Studio.

When is the credit allowance refreshed?

If you have an Amplience credits plan, your credits will recharge annually on the first day of the month detailed in your plan, otherwise your annual recharge date will be January 1st. You can add additional credits at any time.

How do I get more credits?

Visit our top up credits page to add credits to your account.

Can I see how many credits I have used?

If you are an organization admin, you can view your credits balance in the Account Management Usage tab.

You can also view your available credits from the top right of the window in Workforce and Image Studio.
